In this short video focused on renovation work, Marsh Bell associates Paul Westberry, Garret Tomforde and Jeb Maloney discuss the idea of selecting the right partners (architects, civil engineers and subcontractors) to keep project costs aligned with the owner’s budget. This “design to budget” idea requires a collaborative approach. As Tomforde says here, it’s a “process of sitting down and helping influence the design layer … letting the design team do what they do best, but layering in some of those … cost constraints (and) feasibility constraints to ultimately to give the owner what they want for the best price we possibly can.”
